Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones may return to the octagon this summer. According to UFC president Dana White the organization has high hopes to se ”Bones” making his heavyweight debut at UFC 276 in July.
“People have been talking about how awesome this card is (UFC 274), and I was just telling someone the other day our lineup this summer is incredible,” White recently told TMZ Sports. “So I’m hoping that Jon Jones is going to be a part of that lineup this summer. Stipe makes sense.”

Stipe Miocic may have been offered Jon Jones fight
MMA Junkie recently reported that former heavyweight Stipe Miocic been offered to fight for the interim heavyweight championship against Jon Jones at UFC 276 in July. The card will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and so far no main event is announced.
If the fight happens, and that’s a big if, it will be Jones’s first fight since he defended his light heavyweight belt against Dominick Reyes in February, 2020. Since then he’s been bulking up for the move to heavyweight.
Miocic first won the heavyweight championship back in 2015 after knocking out Fabrício Werdum. After defending the title three times, against Alistair Overeem, Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou, he lost the belt to Daniel Cormier in 2018. Miocic won back the title from Cormier in 2019, and defended it once more in 2020, before losing the belt to Ngannou in March 2021.
