Undefeated prospect Ian Garry will compete on another big pay-per-view event as he’s set for UFC 285 in Las Vegas.
The Irish welterweight had his eyes on veteran Bryan Barberena, but will instead take on Song Kenan who comes back from a two-year long layoff.
“Everyone knows I want Barberena – I’m not getting him…Yet. I’m taking out Kennan Song first,” Garry recently tweeted about the fight.
The 25-year-old has a flawless professional MMA record of 10-0, with 3-0 in the octagon. After a KO win in his promotional debut against Jordan Williams, he pulled off two straight unanimous decision wins over Darrian Weeks and Gabriel Green in 2022.
UFC 285 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 4. The stacked card is headlined by a heavyweight title bout between former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and former heavyweight title contender Ciryl Gane.
The current UFC 285 lineup looks like following:
Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane – for vacant UFC heavyweight title
Valentina Shevchenko (c) vs. Alexa Grasso – for UFC women’s flyweight title
