After the chaotic UFC 279 event, Khamzat Chimaev has definitely buried the hatchet with Kevin Holland. At the post-fight press conference he invited “Trailblazer” to come to Allstars Training Center in Stockholm.
”The guy is actually a nice guy. I like him,” Khamzat said. ” Now, when the war is over, if he wants, he can come to my gym, be one of us and he’s a nice guy, good guy, tough guy. He is one of the warriors.”
Chimaev wasted no time in the bout against Holland. Immediately after the bell rang, he went for a takedown, and after just two minutes, the American fighter was forced to tap.
With the win against Holland, Chimaev is still undefeated with a record of 12-0.
Khamzat: “One day they are with me, one day they are not with me”
Before the fight, Chimaev was booed by the audience. When asked the question if it bothered him that the fans somehow turned against him, the Swede was very clear.
“You care about that shit? I don’t care. I care about my family, I care about my career, I care about my money,” Khamzat said. “One day they are with me, one day they are not with me. I’m a real guy so I like people who is real. Not the fake people.”
