Khamzat Chimaev is looking for a fight.
Recently, the top ranked welterweight has been calling out newly crowned middleweight champion Alex Pereira for a fight in Brazil. However, it seems like “Borz” wants a rematch against welterweight Gilbert Burns as well.
“If Alex not ready to be killed, let’s do it again in Brazil, 84 kg this time,” Chimaev recently wrote on Twitter.
Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns fought at UFC 273
At UFC 273 in April, Khamzat Chimaev clashed with former title challenger Burns in what turned out to be a back-and-forth battle that the fans will remember for a long time.
After three tough and bloody rounds where both fighters gave it all, Chimaev stood as the winner by unanimous decision with 29–28 on all judges’ scorecards.
The exciting bout won the Fight of the Night bonus, and will for sure stand as a top candidate for the 2022 Fight of the Year.
