MMA veteran Nate Diaz has made it clear that he has no intention of staying with the UFC. In fact, he is more than ready to leave the promotion as soon as possible. The problem is that he has one fight left on his contract, but the Stockton fighter claims that the organization won’t let him leave – or let him fight.

”I was trying to get this shit on the road, but they don’t want me out of contract and they’re keeping me in there and they’re holding me hostage,” Nate said visiting The MMA Hour recently. ”And I want out. That’s my main objective here.”

“I don’t want any more money, I want out,” Diaz said. “I just want to depart.

The former title contender also claimed that he has been willing to face a lot of top fighters in both welterweight and lightweight, just to get out of the contract.

”I’ve been asking for fights since whenever,” Diaz said. ”I asked for Luque, Tony Ferguson, four or five people and there was no go on their side. Then they finally offered Khamzat and I gave them a little ‘what the fuck?’ Then I was like alright, why not? Let’s get it done and get it over with and I asked for the Khamzat fight then a bunch of excuses started happening.”

Nate Diaz fought his last fight against welterweight contender Leon Edwards on UFC 263 last summer.
