UFC need a new headliner for April 29 and that quickly.

Brazilian lightweight Renato Moicano, who was scheduled to take on Arman Tsarukyan in a highly anticipated main event, recently withdrew from the bout due to injury.

That’s according to MMA Junkie, who verified the news with sources close to the situation. UFC is yet to make an official announcement, and it is unknown if a replacement opponent for Tsarukyan will be sought.

Renato Moicano is a former featherweight

Former UFC featherweight Renato Moicano made his lightweight debut in 2020 and is currently ranked at No. 13 in the stacked division.

He is 4-2 since moving up to lightweight and has so far faced tough opponents like Brad Riddell, Alexander Hernandez, Rafael dos Anos and Rafael Fiziev.
