Bantamweights Sean O’Malley and Petr Yan just clashed at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi.

In the first round, Yan started with pressure, while O’Malley moved well using his piston jab. Yan took him down with one and a half minute left, O’Malley got to his feet landing a good combination, and went for a takedown.

In round two, both fighters landed massive right hands rocking each other in the first minute. In the later parts of the round, Yan took over more and more.

In round three, O’malley came back strong and cutted his opponent with a knee and as well as landing huge head kick. After three crazy rounds, O’Malley stood as the winner via split decision with 29-28, 28-29, 29-28 on the scorecards.

Sean O’Malley: ”I was hurt more than I ever have been”

After the fight, ”Sugar” commented on the win in the post-fight interview.

”I had to go somewhere I haven’t been before,” O’Malley said. ”I was hurt more than I ever have been.”

”Honestly I really want to watch the fight back and then decide. I think the people want to see me be the bantamweight champ, let’s give the people what they want.”
