Belal Muhammad will finally get his title shot.
On July 27, at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England, he will challenge reigning champion Leon Edwards in a welterweight championship bout. The pairing faced each other back in March 2021, in a fight that was declared a no-contest when Edwards landed an accidental eye poke, and Muhammad was unable to continue.
UFC CEO Dana White announced the matchup Thursday on social media.
In addition, the UFC announced a co-main event where interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall will take on Curtis Blaydes in a rematch. The two first fought in July 2022 with Blaydes coming out as the winner via TKO without doing anything. Just 15 seconds into the fight, Aspinall blew out his knee and could not continue.
If that was not enough, UK fan favorite Paddy Pimblett will take on “King” Bobby Green in a highly anticipated lightweight matchup. Check out the current UFC 304 fight card below!
