Top ranked strawweight contenders Tatiana Suarez and Amanda Lemos will clash in a pivotal matchup on the UFC 298 card.
Suarez is undefeated as a pro MMA fighter and after a nearly four-year layoff due to injury, she returned in 2023 with two wins against Montana De La Rosa and former strawweight title holder Jessica Andrade.
Lemos intends to get back in the win column after losing a one sided fight to reigning strawweight champion Zhang Weili at UFC 292 in August.
UFC 298 will take place at place at Honda Center in Anaheim, California, and will be the second numbered event of the year.
The card will be headlined by a featherweight title bout where reigning champion Alexander “The Great” Volkanovski takes on the fast rising star Ilia Topuria.
The card also features a high profile bantamweight bout between former two-division champ Henry Cejudo and top ranked Merab Dvalishvili.
