In the main event at UFC 282, former champion Jan Blachowicz clashed with Magomed Ankalaev for the light heavyweight title.
The fight went all five rounds, where Blachowicz found success with his heavy leg kicks and Ankalaev used his good wrestling. However, after the final bell, one judge gave 48-47 to Blachowicz, one judge 48-46 to Ankalaev, and one judge 47-47, resulting in a split draw.
In the end, the light heavyweight title is still vacant, since no fighter won the championship bout.
In the post-fight interview, Blachowicz said that felt like he didn’t win the fight. He said he’s not sure that he lost it, but he feels like he definitely didn’t win it.
His opponent, however, was sure he did enough to win the title.
”I won this fight, where is my belt,” an upset Ankalaev said in the post-fight interview. ”Honestly I don’t know what’s happening.”

Paddy Pimblett won debated split decision
The rising UFC star Paddy ”The Baddy” Pimblett fought Jared Gordon in the co-main event of UFC 282. After three rounds, Pimblett stood as the winner with 29-28 on all three judges’ scorecards. However, many felt like ”Flash” Gordon did enough to win the close fight.
“That was not close,” Pimblett said. “I won the first two rounds. Jared is one tough motherfucker. Hats off to Jared. I want to work together outside the cage.”
We also saw middleweight Dricus Du Plessis win his biggest fight yet as he submitted Darren Till in the third round with a tight rear-naked-choke.
