Top ranked Mateusz Gamrot defeats Jalin Turner in gruelling fight

Top ranked lightweights Mateusz Gamrot and Jalin Turner just clashed in a tough and gruelling fight at UFC 285 in Las Vegas.

Over three rounds, the tall and lanky Turner found success on the feet, using his reach well as he landed kicks to the body and heavy punches. Gamrot was able to get the fight to the mat in all rounds, controlling the fight on the ground and landing shots of his own.

After three even rounds of action, the judges gave the win to the Polish lightweight with 29-28, 28-29 and 30-27 on the scorecards.

Mateusz Gamrot: ”Next fight, top 5”

After the fight, the top ranked lightweight was critical to his own performance, but happy to get the win.

”My performance was not so good, but I’m a warrior. Jailin was a tough opponent,” Mateusz Gamrot said in the post-fight interview with Joe Rogan. ”Every single fight I will be better.”
