The highly anticipated UFC 292 just took place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
The card was headlined by a bantamweight title bout between Aljamain Sterling and UFC superstar Sean O’Malley.
In the second round, the challenger stepped backwards and landed a perfect right hand that dropped Sterling, and followed up with heavy ground-and-pound that eventually forced the referee to stop the fight.
“This was the most nervous I’ve been,” O’Malley said in the post-fight interview. “It only takes one mistake against me. I don’t know if that was a mistake, I’m just so fucking good.”
In the co-main event, the dominant strawweight champion Zhang Weili dominated Amanda Lemos over five rounds to win via unanimous decision with 50-43, 50-44 and 49-45 on the scorecards.
