UFC superstar Conor McGregor unexpectedly took to Twitter to praise his former rival Nate Diaz. The Irishman also made a promise that their trilogy is bound to happen in the future. The rivals fought in two of the most memorable fights in the history of the promotion.
“Congrats Nate Diaz on making it to the end of his contractual obligations with the UFC, and as a bonafide superstar goer. An incredible feat. Fair play. Our trilogy will happen,” McGregor wrote.

Conor McGregor: “Should have pulled Khamzat from the card”
However, the former double champion is not happy with the turn of events at UFC 279. In another tweet Conor McGregor wrote that Khamzat Chimaev’s weight miss gave him a much easier fight in Kevin Holland.
“My opinion they should have pulled khamzat from the card entirely. Reconfiguring bouts, and with a more favorable bout for the failed cutter, will only make many others in the game follow suit. The smirks on the scale where enough for me. Pull from the card and starve. McG UFC.”, McGregor wrote on Twitter.
