UFC results: Tough night for Pannie Kianzad and Tai Tuivasa

UFC on ESPN+ 97 just took place at the Apex in Las Vegas. The card was headlined by a heavyweight showdown between top dogs Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura.

The heavy-handed Tuivasa came charging with a barrage of punches as soon as the fight started and cut the Polish fighter with an elbow.

Tybura weathered the storm and took Tuivasa to the ground where he secured a rear-naked choke that eventually put “Bam Bam” to sleep.

Tough loss for Pannie Kianzad

We also saw Swedish bantamweight Pannie Kianzad taking on Macy Chiasson in a rematch from their first fight in the finals of The Ultimate Fighter season 28 in 2018.

This time, Chiasson got the job done early as she was able to find a rear-naked-choke in the first round.

Post-fight bonuses

Four fighters recieved Performance bonuses in Las Vegas. Marcin Tybura, Macy Chiasson, Jaqueline Amorim and Jafel Filho all got 50 000 dollars extra when the night was over.

There was no “Fight of the Night” awarded at UFC Vegas 88,
