Undefeated UFC welterweight Ian Garry has no rush to get to the belt.

At the UFC 292 post-fight press conference, the rising star gives an update on his future and when he sees himself fighting for the title.

“Four more (fights), I’m not rushing,” Garry said.” I’m 25 years of age, I don’t need to rush. I need to develop my skillset to be the best I possibly can be, because when I hold that belt that’s nobody taking that belt off me.”

After tonights win against Neil Magny, the Irish prospect called out welterweight striker Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson in his post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan.

“But then there is a lot of grapplers in the division,” Garry said with a smile and claimed his going back to Brazil right away to work on his ground game.

Ian Garry: “Far to pretty to leave the fight with a cut”

After six fights in the promotion, the dominant Garry is still undefeated in the octagon, with three stoppage wins and three unanimous decisions.

“I’m far to pretty to leave the fight with a cut or blood or anything like that,” Garry said. “I just had a fifteen minute fight. You guys have seen me six times now, have I ever left that octagon with a mark? No, and I’m never gonna.”
