Boxing results: Chantelle Cameron ruins Katie Taylor’s homecoming

Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron just clashed at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, with Cameron’s four super lightweight titles on the line and both’s undefeated records on the line.
The bout lived up to the expectations and more as both boxers gave it all in the ring. After ten close and entertaining rounds, Cameron stood as the winner via majority decision (95-95, 96-94, 96-94) as she retained her undisputed title at 140lbs.
“I was petrified,” Cameron said about how the fight went to the judges. “We’ve seen it before in boxing, and it happened to my team before. It was a close fight, Katie’s a great fighter, pound-for-pound best women’s boxer there is, and I turned up for the occasion.”
The defeat was Taylor’s first event and she immediately wanted to avenge the loss.
“I’ll have to look back at the fight. Congratulations to Chantelle on a fantastic performance and thank you so much for this opportunity,” Taylor said. “I’m looking forward to the rematch”
