This is what we know about Sadibou Sy’s PFL semifinal on August 23

On August 23, the 2023 PFL Playoffs 4 will take place in New York City, at The Theater at MSG, and features lightweight and welterweight fights.

In the welterweight semifinals, Swedish PFL champion Sadibou Sy will take on Carlos Leal in a three-rounder.

The two clashed in the PFL 8: 2022 Playoffs in August last year as the Swede stood as the winner via unanimous decision after three rounds.

With a win against Leal, Sy will fight in his second straight PFL final. The Swede has six straight wins and has not lost since August 2021.

Leal had a great 2023 season so far, with two straight KO wins against David Zawada and last year’s finalist Dilano Taylor.

Sadibou Sy comes from a highlight KO

In his last PFL fight, Sy knocked out Shane Mitchell with third-round a spinning wheel kick at PFL 6: Regular Season in June.

The main event features No. 1 lightweight Clay Collard tawho takes on No. 4 Shane Burgos.

In the co-main event, 2022 lightweight season winner Olivier Aubin-Mercier will face No. 3 Bruno Miranda.
