UFC heavyweight Jon Jones suffered a torn pectoral tendon and was forced out of his scheduled UFC heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic a few months back.
He was forced to go through a surgery to fix the injury, however, Jones recently revealed that he had another surgery too. This time for an old elbow injury that bugged him for quite some time.
“Good news is that it’s about a 10-week heal process, and I’m out for months anyway because of this pec surgery, so I just thought I’d kill two birds and get this elbow taken care of once and for all,” Jones said. “Back on this recovery, still on this recovery journey. Sometimes you have to take a small step back in order to move forward, and I’m patient.”

Jon Jones is expected to fight Stipe Miocic
Despite having an interim champion in Tom Aspinall, who has been loud and clear with his ambitions to face Jon Jones next, the reigning champ is expected to face Stipe Miocic next. That’s according to UFC CEO Dana White.
”You do those two. Those two both deserve that fight. That’s the fight they want. What I love is that Jon Jones, as soon as he heard that he was injured and he knew how bad it was, went right to LA, got the surgery and he’s already in rehab, physical therapy I should say,” White said in November.
