Swedish MMA fighter Sahil Siraj was recently announced to be one of the 16 lightweights to compete in the upcoming Tipsport Gamechanger 2 pyramid tournament. The competition has a staggering prize pool of 1 million euros.
Coming from his biggest win to date at KSW, the red-hot lightweight, who’s ranked at No. 2 in the Official Swedish MMA Rankings, enters the OKTAGON MMA tournament with great confidence.
”My last fight at KSW 87 was my biggest success,” Siraj recently told Frontkick. ”My biggest defeat was also in KSW in January because it was a really hard time for me but still I took the fight against a good opponent with no real training. I learned from it big time that never go to a war unprepared so I will not make the same mistake again.”
Sahil Siraj: ”We all had a really hard time”
Currently training at Allstar Training Center in Spain, with former UFC fighter Reza ”Mad Dog” Madadi, and at Fighter Center in Sweden, Siraj started training combat sports at a young age with a dream of becoming the new Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.
”I was 14 years old when I started with kickboxing. I have around over 30 amateur fights with 1 loss,” Siraj said.
Born in 1990 in Afghanistan, he had a tough childhood in a country torn apart by long wars.
”I grew up in a great family with love and respect, and I love my family. But of course we all had a really hard time and it was hard growing up in a country that has been at war for more than 40 years, so no, my childhood was not so good and I’ve seen a lot of things that the kids are not allowed to see even in the movies.”

31 knockouts as a kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter
Now, at 34 years of age, Sahil Siraj is a seasoned and accurate fighter with an insane knockout power.
He holds a professional kickboxing and Muay Thai record of 58-3, with 31 KO’s, and a 9-2 pro MMA record with eight wins coming by stoppage.
In other words, the dangerous striker more than ready for the OKTAGON’s 1 million Euro MMA tournament.
”My dream is to become a Champion one day and be a good role model for young kids as a fighter.”
