Swedish MMA veteran Cornelia Holm (6-5) is up for her biggest fight to date as she will take on the undefeated prospect Dakota Ditcheva (8-0) in the semifinals at PFL Europe in Paris.
In a recent interview with Frontkick’s sister site Maximum Sports, “Conny Future” gave her thoughts about a potential life changing win in the flyweight tournament.
“I’m trying not to think that far, but of course the thought crosses my mind a few times a week,” Holm said. “A win in the tournament would be a great start for the rest of my life.”
“I have big expectations. It will be a grand show and Paris is the city of dreams, right, so I will make my dreams come true there.”
It’s fair to say that the Swede got the toughest opponent in the semifinals, as Valentina Scatizzi (2-1) and Griet Eeckhout (7-4-1) will clash in the second semifinals.
However, the 35-year-old is confident in her skills and now she’s got what it takes to put a halt on Ditcheva’s winning streak.
“I don’t feel any more pressure than usual actually. I’m good at taking away the negative feelings,” Holm said. “If I’m just preparing as much as I can I know I’ve done all that I can do my best in the fight.”
