In the UFC 273 co-main event bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling defeated his rival Petr Yan via split decision. Two of the judges scored 48-47 for Sterling, while the third judge had 48-47 Yan.

One who did not agree with the judges was UFC president Dana White who took a shot at the scoring at the post-fight press conference.

“I thought the judges blew that one,” White said. “I had it 3-2 (for Yan). I don’t know how you guys scored it. It’s all in however you score that first round.”

The contender Yan, who was certain that he had won the competitive bout, agreed with the UFC presidents scoring and called for a immediate rematch.

“I think I won this fight,” he said. “I think I won three rounds out of five. I want rematch.”

Sterling wants Dillashaw next – Dana White seems to agree

The champion Sterling was on the other hand very pleased with the juding. In fact, he was so pleased that he even took some time to credit his rival after the fight.

“I know I came in here very highly doubted,” Sterling said in the post fight interview with Joe Rogan. “I had a tough ass opponent in Petr Yan. He brought out the best in me. This is what the fight game’s out about. Keep doubting me motherfucker.”

Then he turned his attention to the former bantamweight champion T.J Dillashaw, who was sitting cageside.

“T.J. Dillashaw, where the fuck you at?” Sterling shouted. “You’re next bitch. You’re about to be one and done, motherfucker.”

And Dillashaw looked more than ready to take the next title fight.
