Tonight, undefeated boxing star Gervonta “Tank” Davis returns to the ring at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He will put his WBA lightweight title on the line as he will take on fellow undefeated boxer Frank “Ghost” Martin.
The fighters have a combined record of 47-0, with 39 knockouts between them.
“We got to see on June 15th if he’s really intimidated. I sparred him before at the Mayweather gym,” Davis said about facing Martin. “Nothing really personal. It was just two young guys that was trying to make something out of nothing.”
Despite his outside-the-ring controversies, Davis is one of the biggest stars of American boxing. He held multiple belts in several weight classes. In his last fight, he defeated fellow super star “King” Ryan Garcia via a seventh-round KO.
In the co-main event of the evening, undefeated WBC super middleweight interim champion David Benavidez is moving up to light heavyweight to fight Oleksandr Gvozdyk for the interim WBC light heavyweight title.
