Career-first loss for Patricia Berghult in title unification bout

Natasha Jonas just defeated Patricia Berghult via unanimous decision in the title unification bout with 100–90, 99–91, 100–90 on the judge’s scorecards.

With the win, the Liverpudlian unified the WBC and WBO super welterweight titles in front of her hometown crowd at the M&S Bank Arena.

First loss for Patricia Berghult

The loss was the career-first for the 28-year-old Swedish boxer and she now has a record of 15-1.

In November 2019, Berghult won the interim WBC title when she defeated Hannah Rankin, and two years later, she earned the vacant WBC belt with a win against Olivia Belkacem.

Natasha Jonas fought in both super featherweight and lightweight, but won the WBO title in super welterweight when she defeated Christian Namus in February. Now she is the WBC champion as well.
