Swedish MMA fighter Samuel “Sammon Decker” Bark (10-2) will return to his home soil on October 19 to fight at AFN 8.
The striking sensation is up for a tough task as he will take on BJJ specialist Ricardo Monteiro (6-6) from Brazil. Monteiro competed at AFN 5 where he faced Mark Vologdin.
“This is my chance to show UFC what I am made of. I will go for a viral knockout,” Bark told Maximum Sports. “AFN is the biggest in Sweden now, and gets millions of views on some of their fights. I will use this platform to deliver a spectacular performance. That’s the only thing that matters.”
The fight at AFN marks “Sammon Decker’s “first appearance on Swedish soil in almost two years. During the past two years he fought in promotions like Cage Warriors, OKTAGON MMA and UAE Warriors.
“It’s great to return to Sweden and give something back to the Swedish MMA fans before I go to the top of the world. UFC will not have any options but signing me after this fight,” Bark said.
Samuel Bark won the title but broke his hand
In his most recent fight, on May 15, Samuel Bark won the UAE Warriors featherweight title after defeating Ali AlQaisi via unanimous decision. However, the Swede broke his left hand early in the fight and has been out of action since.
