White claims Ngannou didn’t make more money boxing than he would have in UFC

Dana White doubts the idea that former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou made more money in boxing than he would have in the world’s leading MMA promotion.

“That’s not necessarily true,” White said. “That’s the bullshit publicly that people believe, but that’s not the truth. Total bullshit. Total bullshit.”

“That’s that whole myth that makes everybody go, ‘Oh, let’s f*cking go to boxing!’ and all this bullshit. Boxing don’t work. Boxing does not work. What makes it work? You need a Saudi f*cking trillionaire to make f*cking fights. And even Saudi trillionaires get tired of the f*cking bullshit. It’s all a f*cking myth. It’s all a myth.”

Adesanya doesn’t care about the title: “I’d rather just fight”

Two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is open to take on a non-title fight next. However, he wants a fight before the end of the year.

“Right now, after I just fought (Dricus du Plessis), I don’t think it’s going to be immediately,” Adesanya said. “I’d rather just fight, not really for the belt, just fight for fighting’s sake. … Even though I don’t have the belt, they still have got my name in their mouth. I’m still Israel Adesanya. For me, I’ll let them call me out or whatever. At the moment, I want to fight one more time before the end of this year or early next year.”
