Dana White intrigued by the idea of a BMF title tournament
Dustin Poirier wants to do a one night, four man BMF tournament featuring himself, Justin Gaethje, Max Holloway and Dan Hooker.
“That excites me because that kind of stuff is for the dogs, man,” Poirier told MMA Today. “That’s like the old PRIDE days or grand prixs, you know? That’s a real BMF. If you can fight in a tournament in one night, multiple opponents, I mean, dude, that’s kind of the definition of a BMF.”
When UFC CEO Dana White was presented with the idea at a recent press conference, he seemed intrigued by the idea.
“Sounds fun,” White said. “Never thought about it, but yeah, I love it.”
UFC fighter Antonio Trocoli was arrested this past Friday on misdemeanor battery charges following an incident allegedly involving top ranked UFC strawweight Mackenzie Dern’s ex-husband, Wesley Santos.
That’s according to MMA Fighting, who got confirmation by the Huntington Beach police.
