Swedish MMA fighter Alexander Lööf won the first fight of Saturday’s Cage Warriors PrizeFighter tournament. He defeated Aidan Stephen with a dominant performance over two rounds (20-18, 20-17, 20-17). Lööf was close to finishing the fight by ground-and-pound in the first round.
In the finals, Lööf faced the tough Shirzad Qadrian. After three rounds the Swede eventually fell short via split decision (28-29, 30-27, 30-27). In a recent Instagram post, he commented on losing the finals.
”Didn’t end up like I expected. Two fights in one night and you should expect a damaged face, hands, legs etc. I don’t have a single scratch on my face or body except that my hands are damaged from the semifinal. The night I thought would be a full on action movie became a dry humping contest half way in. I guess that’s a part of the game as well and I’m sorry you guys had to see that. But I can promise you this… That dry hump shit will never happen to me again, next time you see me in the octagon you will see full on violence (anti dry hump style)! I will be back scarier then ever,” Lööf wrote on Instagram.
Alexander Lööf is 7-2
Going 1-1 in one night, the Swede now sports a pro MMA record of 7-2. He has won one of his three fights in Cage Warriors.
In his promotional debut he faced the hyped Luke Riley in a crazy fight that eventually was voted the Cage Warriors Fight of the Year.
