Cris Cyborg wins pro boxing debut – writes history!

Last night, the reigning Bellator featherweight champion, and former UFC featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg won her professional boxing debut against veteran Simone Silva for the FMS Super Welterweight professional boxing belt.
The 37-year-old landed the harder and better punches during the eight two-minute rounds, and after eight rounds of action, the Bellator champion stood as the winner via decision over Silva at Fight Music Show 2.
With the win, she became historic as the first female fighter to hold titles in boxing and MMA simultaneously,
“I’m very happy,” Cyborg said to Combate after the win. “Simone is a very tough athlete, a boxing pioneer, and I’m honored to have fought her.”

Cris Cyborg is the current featherweight champion
Cris Cyborg last competed in MMA at Bellator 279 when he defended her featherweight title for the fourth time against Arlene Blencowe. The fight took place in Honolulu, Hawaii, on April 22.
The Brazilian made her Bellator debut back in January 2020 and rides a six-fight winning streak.
