Popular UFC and PFL veteran retires: “14 years of service done”

Scottish MMA veteran Stevie Ray has decided to call it a day.
The decision was made after suffering a TKO loss to Clay Collard at PFL 6 this past Friday. Ray announced his retirement on social media.
“14 years of service done. Time to pass on my knowledge and experience. Going to try book some Seminars over the next few months July/Aug/Sep in the UK if you’d like me to do a seminar at your Gym give me a message.
I will now also be back full time coaching at my Gym (BraveheartMMA) from Next Monday. Full MMA timetable again,” Ray wrote on Instagram.

Stevie Ray defeated Anthony Pettis twice
Stevie Ray made it to last year’s PFL lightweight final, after back-to-back wins over former UFC lightweight champion Anthony ”Showtime” Pettis. However, Ray lost the finals when he was knocked out by Olivier Aubin-Mercier.
The 33-year-old is a former UFC, PFL and Cage Warriors fighter with wins over Pettis, Michael Johnson, Joe Lauzon and Ross Pearson to his name.
Ray ends his pro MMA career with a 25-13 record.
