Reports: KSI vs. Fury was a bigger success than McGregor vs. Aldo!

Even though influencer boxing is a divider of fans in the world of combat sports the audience seem to dial in when push comes to shove.

This past weekend’s prime time spectacle between KSI and Tommy Fury – with the strange ”boxing” bout between Logan Paul and Tommy Fury as a co-headliner – is no exception.

The event took place at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, and according to a recent report from Happy Punch it sold an approximate 1.3 million pay-per-views.

KSI vs Fury PPV was a massive success

The reported 1.3 million KSI vs Fury PPV buys came at the modest price of $20, but that’s still an impressive figure nonetheless.

In comparison, the huge UFC 194, headlined by a featherweight title fight between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo, sold around 1.2 million pay-per-views. The card took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in December 2015. In the headliner, McGregor won the featherweight strap as he knocked out the dominant champ just seconds into the highly anticipated fight.

In the co-main event, the MMA fans witnessed a middleweight title fight where Luke Rockhold defeated Chris Weidman to become the promotion’s new champion.
