Swedish MMA fighter Robin Roos just clashed with reigning middleweight champion Dario Bellandi in the main event of Cage Warriors 175.

Roos started well but couldn’t go all the way to victory at this weekend’s Cage Warriors 175. ”Pretty Boy” Roos quickly showed why he was given a title shot in his debut. The Swede pressed forward from the get-go, looking sharp while marching forward and landing combinations and leg kicks.

Bellandi didn’t look to get going and was sent to the mat with a right in the first round. It looked good for the swede but in the second round, Roos started to slow down and Bellandi was able to fight his way back into the fight.

As the fight progressed, Bellandi was able to take over more and more while Roos could not get back on track. Although ”Pretty Boy” Roos had small flashes of brilliance, he found himself dominated by the Italian with heavy grappling.

On several occasions it looked like the defending champion would get a finish, but Roos continued to fight to the bitter end. When the five rounds were over, however, it was no surprise that Bellandi had been successful in defending his middleweight title.

Roos thus loses his Cage Warriors debut but certainly has many exciting three-rounders to look forward to in the top British organization. ”Neanderthal” Bellandi in turn extends his winning streak to six straight and retains his belt
