Swedish KO artist Sahil Siraj faced his rival Akonne Wanliss at Saturday’s OKTAGON 56 in Birmingham. After just about 40 seconds, Wanliss connected with a left hook that finished the fight.

”Losing hurts and of course we learn from our losses,” Siraj said about the loss at the post-fight press conference.

”Yeah, this is the MMA game, you never know what’s going to happen. It was my fault, I rushed for the knockout and got knocked out. Big congrats to him and his team. It was his night. I promise you guys I will be back stronger than ever.”

As the fight was a part of the OKTAGON lightweight tournament, Wanliss will have to make a quick turnaround as he’s scheduled to face Mateusz Legierski at OKTAGON 58: Vémola vs Végh 2 on June 8.
