BREAKING: Theodor Berggren vs Manuel del Valle set for Cage Warriors 190!

Frontkick can now reveal that Theodor Berggren is ready for his next fight in Cage Warriors. The Swedish MMA talent will take on the Spaniard Manuel del Valle, who has a record of 4-1, with several wins coming by finish.

On June 27, Theodor ”Simba” Berggren will compete at Cage Warriors 190: Unplugged in Manchester, where he will face another dangerous opponent.

The bout against Manuel del Valle marks the Swede’s second bout in Cage Warriors. After suffering back-to-back losses in his professional career, ”Simba” Berggren aims to get back on track and show that he is one of Sweden’s hottest prospects.

In his last outing, he lost a decision to the experienced Italian Leonardo Damiani at FCR 23 on March 29, a setback that he feels does not represent who he is as a fighter.

– My last fight was sh*t. I didn’t feel comfortable like I usually do in the cage, Theodor Berggren tells Frontkick.

After the loss to Damiani, he chose to change his training regimen.

Berggren has now started a collaboration with a team that creates training programs for, among others, the former UFC fighter Andreas Ståhl and elite teams in ice hockey and football in northern Sweden.

For Theodor, this has meant a new focus and a better structure in his training, something he hopes will make a difference when he steps into the cage against Del Valle.

– It will be fun to compete in CW again, and not have to make the same long trip down to southern Sweden to compete. To see something new is always more fun.

Before he steps into the cage in Manchester, Theodor will be in his little brother Josef Berggren’s corner on May 31 at Superior Academy 3.

Josef has made significant progress, and Theodor Berggren looks forward to seeing his little brother show the audience how much better he has become since last time.

– Of course, I will be in my little brother’s corner on May 31st! His development has been great to see. He is at a much higher level than last time.

With a new training regimen, Berggren hopes June 27 will be the turning point. He is determined to prove he belongs on the international stage.

– Right now, I only have this bout in sight, but there will definitely be more fights this year. There’s always something going on. I never get bored
