It appears that the fight between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and WBA, IBF, and WBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk has a new date.

According to a report from ESPN, the heavyweight unification title fight will now take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The winner will be the first undisputed world heavyweight champion in the four-belt era.

Fury vs Usyk is the biggest fight to make

The fight was originally planned for December 23, but Fury’s October boxing match against Francis Ngannou left him unable to fight in 2023. The former UFC champ gave ”The Gypsy King” a way harder fight than most people thought as he went the distance and even dropped the Englishman in the third round.

In his last fight, on August 26 Usyk stopped Daniel Dubois in the ninth round, however, not before he was dropped in the fifth round by a low blow.

Swedish heavyweight contender Otto Wallin and former two-time unified champion Anthony Joshua is being planned for December 23 according to reports from American boxing journalist Dan Rafael.
