Swedish MMA promotion Battle of Botnia will return to Luleå on June 8 for BoB 10.
As the headliner of the event we will see fan favorite and MMA veteran Fernando “El Toro” Flores fight for the featherweight title. That’s according to Battle of Botnia official Tom Qvarfordt.
“Fernando, who has two wins in our promotion, two great finishes this past autumn, will fight for the Battle of Botnia’s featherweight strap on June 8. He will face the Finnish featherweight Edward Walls who’s been doing a stint in Cage Warriors,” Qvarfordt said in Swedish fighting podcast Rondvilan.
“It will be a Nordic derby for the Battle of Botnia’s inaugural featherweight title.”
Fernando Flores is one of Sweden’s most seasoned veterans with a pro record of 12-11. The 40-year-old fought three times in 2023, winning two of the fights in the first round. During his long career he fought in promotion’s like Battle of Botnia, Fight Club Rush and CAGE MMA.
Edward Walls has a professional MMA record of 12-9 and mainly fought in Finnish MMA organization CAGE MMA. He also made a run in Cage Warriors in 2021 and 2022, but lost all three fights via unanimous decision.
