The Official Swedish MMA Rankings were recently updated and now it’s time to put the spotlight on our skilled bantamweights.
No. 1 on the Swedish rankings is Felipe “D’Ouro” Lima who became the OKTAGON MMA bantamweight champion when he defeated his Danish rival Jonas Mågård via an extremely impressive performance. Before the fight, Lima had been out of action for more than 18 months.
The new AFN bantamweight champion and former FCR title holder Bernardo Sopai holds the No. 2 spot on the rankings. In 2023 he fought twice, defending his FCR strap in February with a massive first-round KO, and winning the AFN belt on December 30 via TKO in the first round.
On spot No. 3 we find former UAE Warriors bantamweight champion Ali Taleb. In 2023 he competed in PFL Europe where he started the season by knocking out Kenji Bortoluzzi in round one. In his second bout, he fought well but lost a unanimous decision to Khurshed Kakhorov. That was the first loss of Taleb’s pro career.
