After a triumphant return to the win column Rostem “Kurdimus Prime” Akman (7-4) is now back for a high-profile welterweight bout with Chris Fishgold (18-5-1) from The united Kingdom. The battle between former UFC fighters will go down in Dutch promotion Levels Fight League (LFL) in Amsterdam, June ninth.
Akman made his UFC-debut in the summer of 2019 after lining up six straight wins via finish. Akman faced Russian Sergey Khandozko in a violent, exciting fight that the Swede ended up losing via close decision. In his following UFC bout Aman would once again lose a decision after three exciting rounds with Australian Jake Matthews.
After those losses Akman was dropped by the UFC and he would lose his following two bouts against hot prospects Ian Garry and Andreeas Binder. Akman signed with LFL earlier this year, defeating TUF vet Djamil Chan via decision.
Liverpool’s Fishgold holds a whopping 15 wins via stoppage and much like Akman, would lose the majority of his fights in the UFC, with his lone victory coming via submission over Daniel Teymur. Since departing from the UFC Fishgold has gone 1-1 in bare knuckle boxing and is coming off a TKO loss in his LFL debut.
