Middleweight prospect Dricus Du Plessis just took a huge step in his career as he defeated Darren Till at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Du Plessis came out guns blazing from the start. The South African landed a barrage of good left shots against the cage, and the referee was close to stopping the fight. However, Till fought through and Du Plessis looked exhausted in between rounds.
”He’s fucked bro,” Till’s corner said, pointing at the South African.
The Liverpudlian came back strong in the second, landing his patented left hand and heavy elbows. However, in the third, Du Plessis was able to take the fight to the ground where he secured a tight rear-naked-choke that forced Till to tap almost immediately.
“I just beat freaking Darren Till, how awesome is that? Hello top 10,” Du Plessis, who now has six straight wins, said in the post-fight interview.
