UFC 288: Sterling vs. Cejudo – Fight Card, Start time & How to Watch

On Saturday May 6, UFC returns with a big card at the Prudential Center in Newark.

In the UFC 288 main event, reigning bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will take on former two-division champ Henry Cejudo, who’s returning from retirement to compete for his former belt.

Sterling rides an eight-fight winning streak that includes title defenses over former bantamweight champions T.J. Dillashaw and Petr Yan. Cejudo last fought in May 2020, when he defended the bantamweight belt against Dominick Cruz.

Top welterweight co-main event

In the short notice co-main event, top ranked contenders Gilbert Burnsand Belal Muhammad will duke it out in a pivotal fight for the division.

The bout came together on less than three weeks’ notice, and both welterweights claimed that the winner is promised to be next in line to fight for the title held by Leon Edwards.

The UFC 288 main card also features a strawweight bout between top ranked Jessica Andrade and Xiaonan Yan, as well as a high profile featherweight fight between Bryce Mitchell and Movsar Evloev.

How to watch in Swede and US

Sweden: The early prelims will be streamed by UFC Fight Pass, starting at 0.00 CET. The prelims will stream at 02.00 on UFC Fight Pass. Viaplay streams the main card starting at 04.00 CET.

US: Early prelims will be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 6 p.m. ET. The prelims will be streamed on ESPN and ESPN+ beginning at 8 p.m. ET, while the UFC 288 main card begins at 10 p.m. ET and streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
