On Saturday September 3, the UFC will visit France for the first time ever. The historic event takes place at the AccorHotels Arena in the nation’s capital Paris, and is headlined by a massive heavyweight fight between former interim champion Cyril Gane and No. 3 ranked Tai Tuivasa. The winner of the main event would make a strong case for a shot at the heavyweight title next.

32-year-old Gane, who will fight on his home turf, aims to get back in the win column after his loss against champion Francis Ngannou, while Australia’s Tuivasa rides an impressive five-fight win streak.

In the co-main event we will see a middleweight matchup between former champion Robert Whittaker and former title challenger Marvin Vettori. Whittaker lost to champion Israel Adesanya in their title fight in February, while the “The Italian Dream”, defeated Paulo Costa in his last bout.

The UFC Paris event also features a very interesting featherweight fight between Charles Jourdain and Nathaniel Wood, as well as a middleweight bout between Nassourdine Imavov and Joaquin Buckley.
