UFC Fight Night results: Yadong smashes Simon to earn TKO win

Top 10 ranked bantamweights Song Yadong and Ricky Simon just clashed in the main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

During the fight, Yadong showed proof of his great striking as he landed fast and heavy shots at will. Simon tried to take the dangerous striker down on many occasions, but the Chinese defended well.

In the final round, dropped his opponent and poured it on with heavy ground-and-pound. Simon was eventually saved by referee Herb Dean after taking a lot of damage.

In the middleweight co-main event between rising prospect Caio Borralho and Michal Oleksiejczuk, the Brazilian continued to impress with a second-round submission.

The win was Borralho’s fourth straight in the promotion, and he now moves to 14-1 as a pro MMA fighter.

Song Yadong, Caio Borralho, Rodolfo Vieira, and Marcus McGhee earned $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for their stoppage wins.
