Top ranked light heavyweights Thiago Santos and Jamahal Hill clashed in a five-round main event at UFC Vegas 59 earlier tonight. Following a back-and-forth brawl where both fighters landed heavy, Hill was able to secure his third-straight knockout win when he floored Santos in the fourth round.
In the co-main event, Geoff Neal became the first ever to finish tough Brazilian welterweight Vicente Luque with strikes. Neal put on a massive performance through the fight, and had Luque hurt at many occasions, but it took to the third round before he delivered the knockout punch.
The UFC Vegas 59 card also featured Kamaru Usman’s brother, Mohammed Usman, who won the Ultimate Fighter with a second-round KO over Zac Pauga. Flyweight Juliana Miller also secured an Ultimate Fighter title when she took out Brogan Walker-Sanchez with TKO in round three.
The 50 000 dollar Fight of the Night bonus went to Jamahal Hill vs. Thiago Santos, while Geoff Neal, Mohammed Usman and Bryan Battle were awarded with the Performance of the Night bonus of 50 000 dollars.
