Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou made his boxing debut against Fury in Saudi Arabia last weekend, and shook the world by putting up a great fight and knocking down the heavyweight champion with a left hook in the third round.

Eventually, “The Predator” lost the fight via split decision, but won the hearts and minds of combat sports fans all over the world.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman claimed his organisation would consider giving the former UFC champion a spot in their next top 10 heavyweight rankings.

Now it is clear that the MMA superstar has been ranked as the 590th best heavyweight boxer out of 1422 active fighters at BoxRec. A position that is debatable after knocking down the reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Francis Ngannou looks to fight in Februray

Francis Ngannou might be back in fighting action sooner rather than later. Whether it’s in MMA or boxing, “The Predator” will have a number of good options to choose from.

“I’m going to fight sometime in February or March,” Ngannou recently told ESPN. “Maybe in the cage or in the ring, but I’m going to fight. I already basically have both, and we are working on what’s going to work better. I came here to win, but I’m going back without that victory, which is not what I was looking for.
