Former UFC fighter, now bare-knuckle boxer, Mike Perry recently took to Twitter to post what he claimed to be an agreement for a boxing fight against Jake “Problem Child” Paul.
According to the agreement posted by Perry, the fight was going to be no more than eight three-minute rounds at an event on February 18.
“I signed a contract to fight Jake Paul but he changed his mind,” Perry wrote on social media.
I signed a contract to fight @jakepaul but he changed his mind 🤷♂️
However, the authenticity of Perry’s alleged contract is not yet confirmed, and neither Paul, or his promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), or has not yet commented on the contract.
However, in a recent interview with The Schmo, “The Problem Child” claimed that he will be back in the ring during the first quarter of 2023.
Mike Perry is undefeated in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
“Platinum” Mike Perry competed in the UFC for five years, where he became known for violent fights against some of the welterweight division’s top names. Between 2016 and 2021 he tested himself against fighters like Santiago Ponzinibbio, Paul Felder, Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal.
On February 19 2022, Perry won his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut against Julian Lane via unanimous decision. In August he defeated Bellator MMA veteran Michael Page in a BKFC event in London.
