On April 15, Danish Oktagon MMA champion Jonas ”Shark” Mågård is set to defend his strap against former UFC fighter Gustavo Lopez.
Recently talking on Oktagon’s live stream, the Danish fighter ranted about Allstar Training Center’s Felipe Lima, who’s the backup fighter for the title fight, claiming that Lima is unknown and far below the level of Lopez skill-wise.
In an interview with Frontkick, Lima fired back big time at Mågård.
“I thought it was very funny. This guy comes up with excuses all the time. I know why he is saying this things, becasue he’s fucking scared. He can’t avoid me anymore. He knows I’m the back up, now he can’t avoid me anymore,” Lima said.
“He calls himself a champ. He doesn’t fight for one year, he doesn’t defend his belt for one year. What is this? This is not a champ at all. I don’t have any respect for this guy.”
“Bro, this guy makes only boring fights. He fought one time in Cage Warriors. His fight was so boring that Cage Warriors didn’t want to sign him. I don’t give a shit about him, what matters is that I got the contract. I’m the backup for the fight, I will be ready April 15 if something happens. That’s it. ‘Baby shark’ your time has come. I promise to God. If we meet one day, after my fight with you, you’re going to retire because I’m going to hurt you.”
