Khamzat Chimaev has a flawless professional record
“Borz” has a flawless professional record of 11-0 with five straight wins in the UFC. He made his professional debut in 2018 and steamrolled through six opponents until he got signed by the organization.
He last fought at UFC 273 where he defetead top welterweight contender Gilbert “Durinho” Burns in a FOTY-candidate. The bloody and competetive bout was awarded with the 50 000 dollar Fight of the Night bonus, and UFC president Dana White later claimed that it was one of the best fights that he had ever seen.
Nate Diaz last fought against No. 2 ranked contender Leon Edwards at UFC 263 in June 2021. A bout the Stockton fighter lost via unanimous decision. The UFC 279 headline fight against Chimaev will be the final bout on Diaz’s current UFC contract.
