Swedish knockout sensation, and former ONE Champion, Zebaztian “The Bandit” Kadestam will hopefully be back in action shortly.

He made his ONE debut back in 2017 and won the welterweight title in his fourth fight in the promotion.

With a brand new, lucrative contract with ONE Championship, and his eyes set on winning back the title, it looks like the next couple of years will be very interesting for the Swedish fighter.

“I am satisfied,” Kadestam tells Frontkick about the contract. “Better money and enough fights to keep me busy for another two-three years.”

Zebaztian Kadestam: “I’ve waited long enough”

Kadestam is currently riding an impressive three-fight winning streak, with all wins coming via KO. After defeating the dangerous Roberto Soldic, in May 2023, he was promised a shot at the welterweight title.

The Swede has his mind set on winning back his old belt as soon as possible, however, the reigning welterweight champion Christian Lee is set to defend his lightweight title in November.

Will you have to wait for Lee for your next fight?

“I don’t really know what I have to wait for. I’ve waited long enough, I think, but he’s been gone so long that I have no problem with an interim title bout before I face him. My hands are itching, it’s time for a fight.”

With a list of brutal knockouts more impressive than most fighters could ever dream of, Kadestam still thinks his most recent KO win against Soldic is his best performance in ONE Championships so far.

“My last fight is probably the biggest, but my match against Luis Santos is not far behind.”
