Anton Turkalj booked for big fight against Aussie UFC veteran

Swedish light heavyweight Anton ”The Pleasure Man” Turkalj will make his return at UFC 293 in Australia against hometown hero Tyson Pedro!
The fight was announced via the UFC’s official social media accounts, UFC 293 goes down in Sydney, September ninth.
Turkalj established himself as one of the premiere prospects to watch in Scandinavia with a successful amateur career behind him and seven straight wins via finish following his 2018 pro debut. After a win over Acacio dos Santos in Dana White’s Contender Series he eventually secured a catchweight UFC bout against Jailton Almeida. ”The Pleasure Man” lost via submission in the first round.

Following that Turkalj engaged in a three round war with Vitor Petrino, losing a decision but winning much acclaim as well as the ”Fight of the Night” bonus.
Pedro is a seasoned UFC light heavyweight who has fought the likes of Mauricio ”Shogun” Rua and Ovince Saint Preux.
After a four year layoff Pedro returned in 2022, lining up two straight wins via TKO, but was most recently defeated by Modestas Bukauskas.
