UFC 296 results: Champ Leon Edwards defeats Colby Covington
Publicerat
UFC 296 just wrapped up in T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where welterweight champion Leon Edwards defended his title against Colby Covington.
Edwards pretty much outclassed Covington on the feet and more than held his own in the wrestling department as well, earning a unanimous decision after five rounds with all three judges scoring the bout 49-46 to the champ.
Covington looked surprisingly off during most of the fight.

Flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja took on Brandon Royval in the co-main event. The pair faced off two years ago at a UFC Fight Night event, where Pantoja scored a second-round submission finish, now rematching for the title at UFC 296.
Pantoja mixed in several takedowns and won a clear-cut decision with one 49-46 and a pair off 50-45 scorecards.
The belt is staying in Brazil!
