Swedish heavy-hitter Nermin Hajdarpasic climbs the rankings in Oktagon MMA

Swedish MMA fighter Nermin Hajdarpasic is building a name for himself in the European mixed martial arts promotion OKTAGON MMA.

In his last outing at OKTAGON 41 in April, he clashed with Robin Fosum in a violent and entertaining catchweight fight that eventually ended up as a draw.

Hajdarpasic was an underdog going into the fight against the dangerous hometown hero, but during three rounds he showed proof of his excellent boxing and was clearly the one who did most damage.

“It was a good fight. He was strong as hell. But as I said before, I make strikers turn to wrestlers and I will die before I tap,” Hajdarpasic said in a post-fight comment to Frontkick.

Nermin Hajdarpasic climbs the rankings

Even though the Swede didn’t win the razor-thin fight against Fosum, he won many fans with his performance in the cage.

“So, a new contract is in the making,” Hajdarpasic hinted to Frontkick.

In the recent update of the OKTAGON MMA’s rankings, the Swede climbs several spots and is now ranked at No. 12 on the light heavyweight ranknings.
